"Üga Büga hit me, hit me hard, and hit me again. Placed at lucky #13 on my top Stoner/Doom and Heavy Metal albums of July, Üga Büga set the tone for me for the whole month.
This has serious Traditional Heavy Metal vibes from the early 80's. It's a relentless attack with killer leads, first-class riffs and a rhythm section that will pound you in the gonads!

"Simply put, I love this album! I think the big reason I'm placing Üga Büga at number 13 is so that it's the first one on the page. I'm horrified at the prospect that someone who's looking for prime, raw, contemporary Heavy Metal might miss Year of the Hog. Anyone who complains that today's music sucks simply hasn't listened to this, especially if they have an ear for Traditional Heavy Metal. Listening to this reminds me of the first time I heard Savatage: it just feels so authentic and heavy while always being a good time. It's all there: the leads, the insane drumming, the killer bass flying, and the vocals that sound like the band is having a blast. Stellar debut!"

Welcome to Clean and Sober Stoner!

It all started as a simple joke: the very idea of being a Clean and Sober Stoner seems ridiculous. But as time went on, it became clear that not everyone who listens to Stoner/Doom is blazing a fatty or chugging a brew. We started to gain an audience on the blog, cleanandsoberstoner.com, to the point that venturing into YouTube Land almost made sense...
If you spend any time at all on YouTube looking for new heavy music, you quickly find that it’s saturated with the same old faces covering the same old bands. On the one hand, the Gatekeepers complain that rock is dead, on the other hand, they act as if new bands don’t even exist.
Clean and sober Stoner decided to go in a different direction…
We cover the Heavy Metal Underground, known as Stoner/Doom. We focus on new Hard Rock, Heavy Rock, Heavy Metal, Traditional Metal, and Classic Rock-influenced bands in the Heavy Underground. Clean and Sober Stoner has become the #1 channel on YouTube that focuses on young and emerging Heavy Metal bands, giving you a chance to discover your new favorite band from the Heavy Underground. We have exclusive interviews, reviews, and even Live Reaction! Videos when we listen to a song and review it, Live and WITH THE BAND!!!
Occasionally, we venture into commentary on YouTube, Recovery, and Music Culture. The RANTS are rare, but they do happen

We think that Stoner/Doom is nothing more than good ol’ Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, and Heavy Blues. What sets Stoner/Doom apart is the lack of commercial hype, auto-tuned generic riffs, quantized drums, and bland production that sounds like a bunch of Vanilla Sausage (Circle of Tone). Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, and even Prog didn’t die- they just went Underground!
