the jeanette concerto

Backstory:
Jeanette is a small town close to where i grew up. My family lived about half way between Greensburg and Jeanette - near the Greensburg Country Club golf course. We had relatives in Jeanette and that brought me there as well as the movie theatre pictured in my post. Also, Oakford Park was a huge public swimming pool where i had fun during the summer months.
There was both manufacturing and small business that supported a gentle environment of people and their aspirations. My father worked at a department store on Clay Ave. (the main street of commerce) called Gillespie's - after he was semi retired. That store was a major hub that anchored life in Jeanette for many years.
Of course my music and its relationship to these things is more than arbitrary - yet my fond memories did stir the pot toward an attempt to express ineffable feelings about time passing.
