Once we realize who we want to become, how do we change?

The place we are born, the way we are raised, the profession of our social surroundings, the political system, the religious context, our exposure to social media and the globalized world sets each of us on a certain path. Those who don’t want to follow this “naturally” unfolding path in front of them, are confronted with a process of changing and becoming.
Warm up focuses on the initial kipping edge, where one might need to gradually kill microscopic parts of ones so far unconsciously appropriated identity. Grieving, because one loses a part of their current self, which leaves one vulnerable but in a state of softness, relieved of a previous burden.
Warm up untangles beneath the structural surface of Lacrimosa from the Requiem, the mass of death, Mozart composed on the brink of death, transitioning from the here to the hereafter. The symbol of creating death while losing a part of one’s own life, yet living on through what has been created inspired this piece.
