No, Black Metal Has NEVER Been 'Mainstream'

From Lords of Chaos, to the cult of personality surrounding Varg Vikernes, it's easy to look at black metal as being fairly in the metal mainstream if not the major mainstream. In recent memory, so many folks have come into the niche to take it as an aesthetic via corpse paint or the general imagery itself. However, in my eyes and humble opinion, black metal has never TRULY been brought into the mainstream in the way a lot of true kvlt purists believe it has been. Let's talk about that!!!!!!!
