Lacrimosa - Verdi Requiem - Valletta 2024

Presented by the Valletta Cultural Agency, this high-calibre performance of Verdi Requiem took place on Saturday 23 November, 2024, at 7:30 pm at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta.

Soprano Anna Pirozzi, Mezzo-Soprano Marvic Monreal, Tenor Alan Sciberras and Baritone John Lundgren performed as soloists.

The performance brought together the musical forces of a double choir: Rome’s prestigious Chorus of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and KorMalta, accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the masterful direction of internationally acclaimed conductor Pier Giorgio Morandi.
