Kid Rock Weighs In On Michelle Obama Skipping Donald Trump’s Inauguration

Kid Rock is criticizing Michelle Obama’s decision to skip Donald Trump’s inauguration. During a Fox News interview published on Jan. 16, the artist shared his thoughts on the former First Lady’s announcement. “When Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him, but they asked me to play the inauguration, and I played it,” recalled the musician. “I went out of respect for the presidency. I would kindly remind Michelle about that.” Kid Rock went on to say, “she seems a little angry.” While no official reason has been shared for Michelle’s expected absence, reports have quoted a source familiar with her thinking as saying, “There's no overstating her feelings about [Trump]. She's not one to plaster on a pleasant face and pretend for protocol's sake.”
