I don't know if you guys can remember but when we were kids, there were one or two pirates that filled our adventurous fantasies as we wandered what it would be like to be buccaneering pirates who became the bane of the seven seas. That is before he went on to capture Portobelo , a region in Panama, by creating a human shield made out of priests. you actually can't make this stuff up.

There’s even some lore about Captain William Kidd, a once respected privateer who went rogue after accepting an assignment to put down the curse of piracy that was taking place in the Indian Ocean.
