Home in Death Metal is written in the styles of Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel, blending chromaticism and heavy distortion with tinges of Chinese-style tension building and doom church choirs. The lyrics tell of a person snapping in mania and murdering their fellow flat occupants while trapped at home during a severe global pandemic. This song was written with inspiration from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Home in Death Metal is also my first ever song written with 7-string guitars and 5-string bass in mind.
