Columbus, Ohio: Within only a couple of days of being dropped from the original venue, DARKNESS PREVAILS METAL FEST 2025 will still go on, thanks to all the friends and fans who stepped up and came out of the woodwork to help us find a proper venue to host this night of sinister metal! The unwanted issue caused a bump in the road, but we arrived at our destination! You fuck with the Devil; you get the horns! This show is a celebration of Underground Metal for all those who share the embrace of diabolical music. Keep your pollical, religious, and racial bullshit away! This is an evening of Hellish Horror!

Get ready for an Underground Metal assault unleashing all Hell upon the city! A collection of bands of a dark, sinister, and aggressive nature.

Columbus’ own ACHERON is headlining the fest, which broke up in late 2018 and is doing their first show in 6 years. This will be the debut appearance of ACHERON doing their worldwide 2025 “GOD CAN’T SAVE YOU” limited shows. A band once a part of the legendary Tampa Death Metal scene in the '90s (MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE, OBITUARY, NOCTURNUS, etc.) put out several albums from 1992 till 2014. ACHERON’s unique style of Old School Satanic Death Metal had left a nice infernal scar on the world. And this show will be a special setlist of music from their 1992 album RITES OF THE BLACK MASS and 1996 EP ANTI-GOD, ANTI-CHRIST.

MORDANT RHED, the Black Metal maniacs from Houston, TX, will also make a special appearance. Known for their original style of Black Metal blended with the Old School underground, the band’s YOUTUBE channel is very popular. Doing only limited shows, MORDANT RHED is promoting their new album EAT PUSSY FOR SATAN on GOAT THRONE RECORDS.

SATHANAS from Pittsburgh, PA, are underground legends who have been around since 1988 and have been putting out solid albums for years. A great mix of Black, Death, and Thrash sounds. Promoting their new album INTO THE NOCTURNE on MORIBUND RECORDS.

VINCENT CROWLEY, who like to call themselves the “Musical Horror Experience,” plays Macabre Horror Metal that embodies Heavy Metal and Doom with a touch of Death. This band’s new album, ANTHOLOGY OF HORROR, features ACHERON members and is now on HAMMERHEART RECORDS.

CHURCH, one of Columbus’ most brutal Death Metal bands, will be joining in to start off the fest. A great band of hungry musicians that will kick your teeth in! The band has four amazing demos.

JDAWG (Justin Horval) will also have a special appearance from HELL'S HEADBANGERS and DEAD BY DAWG channel on YOUTUBE.
The event will be held at WITCHLAB LOUNGE, located at 1187 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio, 43222. The show will start at 6:00 pm. (The club has a curfew at midnight) Tickets are $20.00 (ADV) or $25.00(DOS). The club has a smaller capacity, so make sure to get your tickets soon. We are predicting a sell-out crowd!
