NEW BERN, Craven County — 'Never Give Up' is the message one family wants to tell the world after a DNA kit united a father/daughter duo after 64 years and a continent apart.

David Jones never knew he had a daughter. He raised two sons and lives in New Bern, but he recently learned about Jennette, who lives in Germany.
